Proud to share a significant milestone for Carter Synergy – achieving the RoSPA Order of Distinction with 16 consecutive Gold Awards.
Carter Synergy has been awarded the RoSPA Order of Distinction, recognising 16 consecutive Gold Awards for excellence in health and safety performance. This year’s award feels especially meaningful as it comes during two landmark anniversaries:
70 years of the RoSPA Health and Safety Awards, which began as a small event to recognise the achievements of companies prioritising the safety of workers in UK and has now grown into the biggest and most prestigious health and safety awards programme in the world, with the 2026 awards attracting 2,000 different entries from nearly 60 countries.
80 years of the Carter Thermal Industries Group, built on a legacy of integrity and expertise, underpinned by an unwavering commitment to health, safety and wellbeing. For eight decades, doing things the right way has meant placing people at the heart of every decision, embedding safe working practices across the organisation and continually striving to ensure that everyone returns home safely, every day.

Julia Small, RoSPA’s Growth Director, said:
“RoSPA congratulates Carter Synergy, on their RoSPA Health and Safety Award. The high standards Carter Synergy has achieved are the result of hard work and dedication, of which Carter Synergy, should be rightfully proud and which RoSPA is delighted to honour. 2026 is a landmark year for the RoSPA Awards as we reflect on how far workplace safety has come in 70 years. It is because of the commitment of health and safety leaders like Carter Synergy that people today are safer at work than in the past and sets an inspiring example for the future.”
The Order of Distinction recognises sustained commitment over many years. It reflects the care, professionalism and consistency shown by people right across our organisation, who keep safety and wellbeing central to how we work every day.
James Anderson, Managing Director for Carter Synergy comments:
“This is a great achievement and well done to everyone involved in ensuring we keep our people safe at all times, even when no one is looking. The safety of our people is paramount and embedding our Safety Culture across the Divisions is a key strategy for us. Thank you to our teams, partners and colleagues for the standards you uphold, the accountability you show and the focus you bring to continuous improvement. Achievements like this don’t happen by chance.”
We look forward to marking the occasion at the RoSPA 70th Anniversary Awards Ceremony in London later this year. A genuinely proud moment in our ongoing safety journey.
