Project Overview
Carter Synergy has delivered a full turnkey refrigeration package consisting of cabinets, refrigeration plant, cold storage, leak detection, alarm and monitoring, heat reclaim, ventilation and on-going service and maintenance.
The project was split into three areas namely;
Existing Unit 7: Chiller and Freezer Coldroom works including plant.
Main Store Extension: Cabinet and Coldroom works including plant.
New Build: Railway Terrace: Freezer Coldroom works including plant.
As Wing Yip continue to develop within their market place, extreme pressure is applied to the engineering element to deliver and offer continued support in order to provide a trouble-free operation throughout its life span.
Carter Synergy delivered a first-class installation incorporating the requirements of the client whilst working closely with the consultant. The refrigeration plant runs on R404A and the refrigeration packs (dual temperature and low temperature) installed have been built and tested by Carter Synergy. Furthermore, all design, project management, installation, commissioning c/w service and maintenance have been completed in house, using directly employed staff and engineers.
The project required intense design and communication with Wing Yip, the Consultant and the Architect. With further projects due in the near future, the experience gained will be invaluable for the future partnership of Carter Synergy and Wing Yip.
Project Duration
The project duration was in excess of 12 months with on-going works expected based on the vast amount of refrigeration employed at Birmingham.
