The Role
Refrigeration Engineer Apprentices
Locations: Midlands, North East, North West
As a Refrigeration Engineer Apprentice, you will learn how to install, repair and maintain refrigeration equipment and systems within a variety of commercial and industrial premises. This role is field based, so you will travel around to client sites, and learn a wide range of skills to keep customers’ equipment fully functional with minimal disruption to them.
Apprenticeship Programme
Working alongside experienced colleagues and through in-house training and attending college, this apprenticeship provides you with the opportunity to gain skills specific to a job role and be paid for the work you do.
You will study towards City & Guilds 6090/20-30, (Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Engineering Technician Level 3), incorporating an F Gas qualification and Brazing qualification. Your studies include knowledge tests, practical assignments, the production of a portfolio of evidence and an End Point Assessment.
Job Requirements
Whilst it is desirable that to achieve this apprenticeship you will have English and Maths at Level 2 or GCSE Grade C, it is not essential, and we can make arrangements as part of your apprenticeship to help you achieve a necessary level to complete your apprenticeship.
Driving Licence
Full, clean driving licence required.

- An aptitude for practical hands-on skills, attention to detail and good organisational skills.
- Effective team worker, as well as the ability to work on own initiative within the allowances of the apprenticeship.
